Sokoya Adebajo Tajudeen is the Finance Attaché at the Nigeria High Commission in Kigali, Rwanda.
His professional career began as an Accountant with Cap Plc, Ikeja, Lagos. In 1999, he joined the Nigerian Federal Civil Service as an Accountant II, GL. 08. He has since risen to the position of Assistant Director, GL. 15, serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
His career includes service in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), including the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) Office in Ogun State, where he served as the State Auditor for the program; the Ministry of Education, where he served as Acting College Bursar at King’s College Lagos; and Federal Government Girls College Sagamu, Ogun State, where he served as College Bursar.
He completed his primary education at St. John Catholic Primary School, Ibu Road, Iperu Remo, earning his First School Leaving Certificate in 1980. His secondary education was completed at Christ Apostolic Grammar School (Apollo) Iperu Remo and Ejigbo High School, Ejigbo, Lagos, where he obtained his West African School Certificate (WASC O/L) in 1988. He then attended the then Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1998.
Mr. Sokoya served as a Youth Corps Member at Government Day Secondary School, Katungo, Gombe State, Nigeria, in 1998. He became a Certified National Accountant (CNA) in 2019.
Mr. Sokoya is known for his dedication and commitment to his duties, guided by the principle that “what is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.”
He is a devoted Christian and an ordained Deacon in the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria. He is happily married with children.
